PhD Positions in Transportation safety and Operations, Data Analytics, Explainable AI, and Bayesian Statistics

I am looking for highly motivated Ph.D. students to join my group, working in areas of transportation safety and operations, Data Analytics, Explainable AI, and Bayesian Statistics. Given my joint appointment with the School of Civil Engineering and Environmental Science and the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering, applications to either program are welcome and will be considered.

Requirements:
MS degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
Strong programming skills, preferably in R and Python
Self-motivated and enthusiastic about research
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Background in statistics, Machine Learning, and data analysis.
Experience with transportation safety data
Familiarity with tools like GIS is a plus.
