I am seeking one highly motivated PhD student for Fall 2026 in the PhD in Engineering Program at Texas A&M University-Kingsville to work on cutting-edge research in Software Engineering, especially in one of the following areas:
🔹 Intersection between AI and Software Engineering
🔹 Cybersecurity
🔹 Software Quality Assurance
The research will focus on developing intelligent and reliable software engineering techniques that combine large language models, program analysis, software security, and empirical software engineering. Possible topics include improving the reliability and correctness of LLM-generated code; detecting and mitigating security vulnerabilities in modern AI based software systems.
Preferred background includes software engineering, machine learning, cybersecurity, or related areas. Strong programming and research skills are highly encouraged. Preference will be given to applicants who are currently residing in the United States and already hold an MS degree.
