One PhD position is available in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Southern University, with a start date of EITHER Spring 2026 or Fall 2026.
Applicants must hold a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Power Systems. A strong background in one of the following areas is required:
Electro-Magnetic Transients (EMT) / Fast Transients / EMT-type Analysis.
Transformer Modeling / Magnetic Circuits / Flux Measurements.
Power System Protection in the presence of IBRs.
