Summary

Our group (Laboratory of Energy Science and Engineering, LESE at ETH Zürich) is seeking a motivated PhD candidate to investigate structure–activity relationships in CO₂ capture materials.
This project combines material synthesis, operando characterization (X-ray absorption, total scattering, vibrational spectroscopy), and molecular modelling to accelerate the discovery of next-generation CO₂ sorbents within the NCCR Separations program.
If you have a strong background in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemistry and are interested in fundamental research with real-world climate impact, we would love to hear from you.
