PhD Opportunity — Fall 2026 (Wireless Security + AI)

I will be recruiting a PhD student for Fall 2026 to work at the crossroads of wireless communication, cybersecurity, and AI/ML. The student will explore cybersecurity challenges in emerging NextG technologies, such as 6G, Wi-Fi 8, and Bluetooth 6/7. The student will design AI-native/AI-enabled wireless security strategies and uncover adversarial ML threats against wireless communication systems.

I am looking for someone who:
- Has a strong background in wireless communication and networks
- Brings moderate experience in cybersecurity and AI/ML
- Enjoys research, problem-solving, and discovering creative ways attackers might break wireless systems and how to stop them!

Candidates with a Master's in related fields and/or relevant publication experience are preferred.
