📢 PhD Opportunity at Howard University (Fall 2026) in Civil & Environmental Engineering

Dr. Sanjib Sharma and I are recruiting a highly motivated Ph.D. student in Civil & Environmental Engineering to join our research group at Howard University starting Fall 2026.
The student will work at the intersection of environmental informatics, hydrology, data-driven modeling, and emerging contaminants. This is an exciting opportunity to develop impactful, interdisciplinary research in an R1 HBCU located in Washington, D.C.

Ideal candidates should have:
• A master’s degree in Environmental/Civil/Chemical Engineering or related field
• Experience with environmental data, watershed modeling, or climate data
• Skills in GIS, remote sensing, data analytics, or machine learning
• Programming experience (Python, R, MATLAB, etc.)
• TOEFL (for international applicants)
