PhD Assistantship – Beef Cattle Nutrition

A fully funded PhD assistantship is available in the Hansen ruminant nutrition lab at Iowa State University (Ames, IA), with a target start date of January 2027.
Research focus: The successful candidate will conduct applied and mechanistic research on micronutrient metabolism and its impact on beef cattle health and production performance.

Funding: Full research assistantship including stipend, tuition coverage, and benefits.

Qualifications:
·       MS in Animal Science, Nutritional Sciences, or a closely related field
·       Hands-on experience with beef or dairy cattle (required)
·       Undergraduate GPA of 3.25 or greater
·       Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and interest in cattle production research
