Ph.D. Opportunity: Texas A&M University Department of Oceanography Enhanced Weathering and River Carbon Cycling

Join the CACEE Lab at Texas A&M University in an NSF CAREER-funded project developing a large-scale river network model to track the downstream fate of carbon and alkalinity generated by terrestrial enhanced weathering. The project integrates river and watershed datasets, machine learning, soil reactive transport modeling, and river biogeochemistry across the contiguous United States.


Preferred background B.S. or M.S. in geochemistry, hydrology, hydrogeology, environmental science, oceanography, or a related field. Interest in Earth-surface processes, low-temperature geochemistry, carbon cycling, numerical modeling and data science. Programming experience (Julia, Python, R) is preferred.
