Ph.D. Opportunity in Civil & Environmental Engineering – Fully Funded

I am recruiting one highly motivated Ph.D. student to join my research group starting Summer or Fall 2026 in the Wadsworth Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at West Virginia University (WVU).

This fully funded Ph.D. Graduate Research Assistantship (tuition + competitive stipend) is supported by a recently awarded National Science Foundation (NSF)–funded project. The student will work in the Integrated Construction Informatics Laboratory (ICIL) under my supervision.

🔍 Research areas include:
• Immersive VR/AR learning environments
• Construction materials & sustainability
• Learning analytics & data science
• BIM, computer vision & machine learning
• Construction visualization & engineering education research

🎓 Requirements:
• B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Strong interest in Ph.D. research

💡 Preferred background: VR/AR, sustainability or materials, programming (Python/MATLAB/C++), data analytics, ML/CV, BIM, or engineering education.
