We have a new opening for PhD Student candidates at HiCREST Laboratory at Università di Trento in collaboration with Covision Lab

We are looking for a motivated PhD candidate to work on AI A, inference optimization, and energy-efficient methodologies to accelerate transformer-based models.

💡 The research will focus on techniques such as quantization, sparsification, and pruning to reduce the cost, memory footprint, and energy consumption of deep learning inference, while studying their impact on accuracy, runtime performance, and reliability.

👨‍💻 👩‍💻 Ideal Candidate background:
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, AI, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.

💻 Useful skills:
Python/C++, PyTorch/TensorFlow/ONNX Runtime, CUDA/GPU programming, benchmarking, HPC, model compression, or reliability analysis.
