Looking for graduate students (both Masters and PhD) who are interested in developing technological innovations for integrated and continuous biomanufacturing (ICB) processes.
In addition to a generous stipend (to cover tuition costs and assist with living expenses), we offer a highly enriched training experience to develop the research and professional skills that are critically needed in the biomanufacturing sector. Some key elements of your training will include:
- Working in the recently opened Sartorius Bioprocess Automation Lab, a purpose-built research facility outfitted with over $4 million in specialized biomanufacturing equipment; you can read about it here

- Co-supervision by faculty members from the McMaster Advanced Control Consortium (https://lnkd.in/evQz7mqF), one of the top research centers in process automation.
Ideally applicants will have some research experience and/or course-based learning in the following areas:
- Manufacturing platforms for biopharmaceutical products
- Bioseparations science
- Big data analytics and advanced mathematical modelling
