The Energy Production and Infrastructure Center (EPIC) at University of North Carolina at Charlotte invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in advanced power electronics, protection systems, and electrification technologies.

The successful candidate will contribute to externally funded projects in AI-enabled DC solid-state circuit breakers for data centers, solid-state/hybrid transformers, and wireless power transfer for railway applications.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, a strong background in power electronics, and hands-on experimental research experience. Experience with SiC/GaN devices, solid-state circuit breakers, arc-fault detection, solid-state transformers, wireless power transfer, or medium-voltage testing is preferred.
