Excited to share that a new lab is launching this Fall at Eastern New Mexico University: Fadare Lab, led by Dr. Oladapo Fadare.

The lab's research will focus on contaminants of emerging concern (CECs) such as microplastics, tire-wear particles, PFAS, PAHs, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and ecotoxicology. It will also involve modeling microplastics in various environmental matrices and biological systems.

Fadare Lab applies cutting-edge analytical, microscopic, spectrometric, and molecular methods to investigate the fate, transport, partitioning, and ecological impacts of these pollutants across ecosystems.

🎓 Who can apply?
Students with a B.Sc. in Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Physics, or related disciplines are encouraged to apply. Preferred skills include:

Experience with toxicological or chemical assays (in vitro/in vivo)
Knowledge of chromatographic or spectrometric techniques
Programming skills in Python, R, or MATLAB
