Dr. Feng Pan's lab will study how light interacts with materials at the nanoscale. We aim to develop new technologies that could make communication more secure, computing faster, and networking more efficient. We will build instruments, design and fabricate nanoscale photonic devices, and explore new phenomena at the intersection of materials, light, and devices.

My lab is actively recruiting highly motivated graduate students for Spring and Fall 2027, as well as undergraduate researchers.
