Dr Yang is recruiting graduate students to join my research group in the Department of Petroleum Engineering at the University of Houston, starting Spring 2027 or Fall 2027

The openings are fully funded Ph.D. Research Assistant positions, with tuition, research stipend, and health insurance provided. M.S. students with strong research interests are also encouraged to contact me and apply.

Research Focus:
Our research focuses on reactive transport, multiphase flow and geochemistry, CO₂ mineralization, geologic hydrogen, and unconventional oil and gas recovery. Students will have access to extensive high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) laboratory capabilities, including core-flooding, PVT, adsorption, and batch-reaction systems.
