Fully Funded PhD Opportunity | NC State (Fall/Summer 2026) - Biological & Agricultural Engineering

Recruiting a PhD student in Biological & Agricultural Engineering at NC State to work on the REFRAME project, supported by Schmidt Sciences.

🔍 Project focus:
The core of this work is stakeholder-guided development of AI-driven biomass resource and supply-chain models. The PhD student will engage directly with industry, growers, communities, and policymakers to ensure that AI models reflect real-world constraints, priorities, and decision contexts. 🌱 Application areas include:
Using these stakeholder-informed AI models to evaluate sustainable biomass pathways and carbon-negative bioproduct systems, supported by techno-economic analysis and life cycle assessment.
