Dr. View Khaled Ahmed Enab is recruiting 4 fully funded Ph.D. students to join my research group starting in Spring 2027 at Bob L. Herd Department of Petroleum Engineering, Texas Tech University.
My research focuses on Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) and Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS), addressing some of the most pressing challenges in subsurface energy production.
Core research areas include:
- Reactive transport in porous and fractured media
- Multiphase flow in conventional and unconventional reservoirs
- Geochemistry of subsurface fluid-rock interactions
- CO2 mineralization for EOR and geologic carbon storage
Students will engage in a blend of experimental work, numerical simulation, and field development studies, gaining hands-on training across the full research pipeline — from lab-scale experiments to reservoir-scale modeling and real-world field applications.
Requirements:
- Strong background in petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, geochemistry, or a related field
- An MS degree is preferred.
- Interest in Enhanced Oil Recovery, multiphase flow, reactive transport modeling, and CO2-rock interactions
- Motivation to work on both fundamental science and applied field-relevant problems
Offer:
Full funding (stipend + tuition) for all 4 positions
- Access to high-pressure, high-temperature laboratory capabilities and computational facilities at Texas Tech
- Collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment spanning EOR and geothermal energy systems
- Opportunities for industry and national lab collaboration
Application Package:
