Openings for three Postdoctoral Research Associates and three PhD students in my group in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Virginia. For 𝐏𝐡𝐃 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, my preference is a Fall 2026 start, though I will consider outstanding applicants for a Spring 2027 start. Given the limited time before the fall semester, preference will be given to applicants already based in the United States or holding a valid U.S. visa.
PhD Position 1: Computational Methods for Socio-Environmental Systems.
PhD Position 2: Understanding Decision-Making Under Risk.
PhD Position 3: Valuing and Improving Early Warning for Compound Hazards.
