3-5 PhD positions in Civil and Environmental Engineering | Geotechnical Engineering | Auburn University

Recruiting 3–5 PhD students to join my research group at Auburn University beginning in Spring/Fall 2027.

The available positions are in:
- Sea Ice and Frozen Soil Mechanics
- Lattice Structures and Expansive Soil–Structure Interaction
- Bioinspired Robotics for Geotechnical Engineering

The projects combine experimental research, Discrete Element Modeling (DEM), Finite Element Modeling (FEM), and advanced computational mechanics to address challenging problems in geotechnical engineering and cold region science.

Please note: These positions are intended only for applicants who already hold an M.S. degree (or will complete one before joining the program).
