The Bert S. Turner Department of Construction Management at Louisiana State University (LSU) invites applications for two fully funded Ph.D. student positions under the supervision of Dr. Rui He. The expected enrollment semester can be Spring 2027, Summer 2027, or Fall 2027.
Research Focus:
• Corrosion-related infrastructure durability issues
• Multi-sensing fused technology for infrastructure SHM (Structural Health Monitoring)
• Novel construction material development
Candidate Qualification:
Applicants with backgrounds in materials science, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, data science, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in construction materials, NDT/sensing technology, and electrochemistry is highly desirable but not required.
Funding:
The position is expected to provide full financial support, including graduate assistantship, tuition support, and stipend, subject to LSU and departmental policies.
