1-3 funded PhD, 1 PostDoc Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory

Recruiting 1-3 funded PhD students (Fall 2026 start) and potentially one postdoc to join me as I launch my lab at MIT EECS / MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL).

Our focus is on making the human senses programmable: creating devices that sense bodily signals as inputs, modulate them as outputs, and open up new forms of interaction. This spans wearables and embedded systems, methods to record and stimulate the senses, and computational models for smell, taste, breathing, and interoception. We apply these approaches to areas like interaction design, health, assistive tech, and environmental sensing, while staying broadly open to new intersections of the senses and computing.
